I recently had the opportunity to photograph for Sommsation, a cutting-edge wine company providing exclusive access to some of the finest independent wineries. Our shoot took place at the picturesque Macari Vineyards, a location that beautifully blends lush greenery with elegant wine culture. The team included industry pros like Randi Rosenthal (Senior Content Producer) and Crystal Langley (VP of Design & Creative), with the talented Princess Uchekwe as our model and Courtney Kearns providing flawless makeup. As an NYC-based corporate photographer, my goal was to capture the essence of Sommsation’s brand through high-quality, visually compelling imagery.

Shooting corporate photography outdoors on a sunny day presents unique challenges, but with the right equipment and techniques, it becomes an incredible creative playground. To balance the intense natural light, I used Profoto strobe lights, which helped create dynamic contrasts while keeping the subject well-lit. Shooting in RAW on my Sony A7III provided the flexibility to capture every detail, from the vineyard’s vibrant greenery to the soft textures of the wine bottles. This setup ensured high-quality images with excellent depth and color accuracy, making the post-production process seamless.
