Grandmaster Karen A. Brown is a highly accomplished martial artist, holding the rank of Grandmaster in Tae Kwon Do for over 46 years. With her own school operating for 27 years, Grandmaster Brown has created a unique program that focuses on using martial arts to instill values such as confidence, focus, physical fitness, and positive thinking in children and families.
Grandmaster Brown's passion for Tae Kwon Do is shared by her family, all of whom are instructors at Hanmi Tae Kwon Do. Her dedication to the community is also evident in her efforts to teach the Hanmi Tae Kwon Do Bully Prevention Program in schools throughout Worcester County.
Grandmaster Brown's impressive achievements include being a 2-time national gold medalist in sparring and a silver medalist in forms, having competed and held medals from all over the United States and Canada. She has also been recognized in the Tae Kwon Do community, with two covers on Tae Kwon Do Times Magazine, her own column, and being voted Grandmaster of the Year in 2018. In 2020, she was inducted into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame.
